Throughout our lives, we are constantly moving “stuff” in and out of our lives. Progressing (and downsizing) to a new home and office after 15 years is a perfect example. The photo today is of the stuff that will go on the truck for my new office. It also reminds me that my dear Mother’s possessions at life’s end fit in her Kate Spade handbag.

These special words were above our doors in Carmel but they will now adorn The Treehouse where we are resting this long weekend by the sea.
Much needed as we get ready for the final steps of packing up next week and then getting into our cars (with Jack and Hermann in tow) and driving to Minny next Sunday. Can you believe it?

Check it out. We found a great 34th floor apartment at Marquette Place and move in 6/4. Seven blocks from my office and a bus ride to the UM. Energy and life abounds here … biking capital of the world, or so it seems. Will send photos from our balcony. I swear I can see Niagara Falls …
This should make you laugh … wild child at 4:00 am getting ready for our house-hunting trip … this is what an adventurous spirit looks like … sure makes me laugh (out loud and large). Enjoy!
It is official. Inspection done, house sold, closing 6/4, Minneapolis bound in a big way, both for Dan and me. Stay tuned! Send us good energy!

Beyond the business week, I delight in creating colorful and "off the chain" designs such as whimical evening bags made out of retired ties and other creative fare in addition to contemporary quilts, wall hangings and other adornments. I am inspired by the term "wabi" which I have come to learn means "perfection through spontaneous imperfection."
